#FunFriday - Choose your own adventure.

I should have seen the type of geeky/nerdy adult I would become but honestly, I thought everyone read choose-your-own-adventure novels as a kid. The fantasy, the excitement, the opportunity to save the world in time for tea was all too much - I loved it, plus if you went wrong you could always turn back a few pages and save yourself from a gruesome death.

All that to say, that this week's #FunFriday is a choose-your-own-adventure that is built into your very own Mac. To access this treasure trove of adventure simply type this code:

emacs -batch -l dunnet

into terminal and begin your own adventure.

Now, admittedly there is a lot of trial and error involved but after a five minute play around I can tell you that the commands: "take", "go n/e/s/w", and "dig" will provide useful.

The story begins with this:
"You are at a dead end of a dirt road.  The road goes to the east. In the distance you can see that it will eventually fork off.  The trees here are very tall royal palms, and they are spaced equidistant from each other. There is a shovel here."
